The Homer hits the Mainline in 2014

A bunch of Card Arts from the 2014 Hot Wheels mainline were leaked today to T-Hunted.com, and this is definitely the most interesting one:

Apparently, The Homer is the next in a series of movie and TV cars Mattel has been releasing in the last few years. The picture above is the official card and poster art for the car, and, while this pretty much confirms its presence in the 2014 lineup, no pictures of the actual diecast model exist yet.

Another model that got leaked just a day ago, this time in finished diecast form, is the Fiat 500, and it is looking very, very good:

This reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask. Do all 2014 cars enter distribution at once or are they released in batches? I've only seen a very small selection of 2014 Hot Wheels at my local Walmart, and I haven't seen anything new in 3 weeks.

While I admire the concept of a rally sport Delorean, more effort could have been put forth making all 4 versions of the time machine, than paint color variations on a car that didn't have paint.

It actually has, in past Batman Multi packs, but, considering the amount of movie cars Mattel has been releasing lately, I wouldn't be surprised if this one was a movie issue as well, and showed up in an all black colorway down the line.
